This fascinating piece is cast from the sea urchins mouth. Its the skeletal structure inside the shell. The fisherman collect the sea urchins and eat them, right there, raw, on the beach. While walking I find collections of shells and these mouth structures all over the beach at Kilometer 90, Tarifa (Straights of Gibraltar). The fishermen scoop this part out and eat the rest! Its a beautiful, almost prehistoric structure which I think is really unusual and a beautiful demonstration of nature at its finest. Comes on a 30 inch sterling silver chain with gold plated tips. Can also come gold plated, delivery is slightly longer for gold plated pieces.
